Ronald J. Sixbury

CHAUMONT, N.Y.  —  Ronald J Sixbury, 74, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. 

Ron as he was known, lived in East Syracuse for 30 years, retiring from New Venture Gear in 1993.

He enjoyed spending time on Lake Ontario, where he and his wife of 52 years lived during his retirement. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. 

Ron had many special friends and wonderful caring people in his life. We will all miss him. His family would like to thank the very dedicated people who did so much to support Ron in his time of need.

He was predeceased by his parents, Forest and Ileen Sixbury.

Surviving are his loving wife, Karen; a son, Rick Sixbury and his girlfriend, Deb McCarthy, Syracuse; a daughter and her husband, Kimberlee and Michael Meehan, Hastings; two children Eric and Brandon, Ron's beloved grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home, 12007 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
