June M. Corsa

REDWOOD, N.Y.  —   June M. Corsa, 90, of Tamarack Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, at River Hospital, Alexandria Bay, where she had been a patient since Dec. 5.

Born June 30, 1922, in New York City, the daughter of George and Bridget Gavin Parkinson, she graduated from St. Dominick’s High School, Oyster Bay, N.Y.

She married Walter W. Corsa on June 27, 1943, at St. Dominick’s Church in Oyster Bay, N.Y. 

She was a homemaker and a member of the Alexandria Bay Homemakers and St. Cyril’s Alter & Rosary Society.

Surviving are her husband, Walter; their son, Wayne, and his wife, Dale, Redwood; two daughters, Janie M. Pandozzi, Largo, Fla., and Janine M. Lis, Fallston, Md.; a sister, Jane Guthrie, Fort Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

An infant daughter, Sylvia, and two brothers, George and Jack Parkinson, all died before her.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Costello Funeral Home in Alexandria Bay. The funeral Mass will be said 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Cyril’s Roman Catholic Church, Alexandria Bay, officiated by Father Doug Comstock.
