HARRISVILLE, N.Y.   —  Gary P. Bango, 71, of Route 3, died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 21, at his home while under the care of his family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.

Born Dec. 17, 1940, in Harrisville, the son of Philip and Barbara Davie Bango, ge attended Harrisville Central School. 

He married Marjorie Durham Finley at their home on Oct. 1, 1999.

Mr. Bango worked at St. Joe Mineral in Balmat for 19 years. 

He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, reading and cutting wood.

Surviving arfe his wife, Marjorie; a stepson and his wife, Gary and Kelly Finley, Natural Bridge; a step daughter and her husband, Linda and David Bush, Harrisville; a sister, Amy Bango, Harrisville; a brother-in-law, John Hennessey, Modesto, Calif.; eight step grandchildren, several step great- grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins.

His parents and a sister, JoAnne Hennessey, all died before him.

A memorial service will be held at the family home 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, followed by a luncheon. Family and friends may call at the family home at their convenience.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.
