Marsha
J. Flynn, 65, of 49 ½ Bridge St., died unexpectedly
Thursday, Dec. 20, at her residence after being stricken
there.
Born June 4, 1947, in West Carthage, the daughter of the
late Orval J. and Marion J. Brown Flynn, she graduated in
1965 from Carthage Central School.
She worked as a clerk for many years at Kinney Drugs in
Carthage. She later was a clerk at the former Dairyland
Store in West Carthage until its closing.
She
enjoyed traveling to motor vehicle events and riding
motorcycles with her companion of many years, Max. She loved
spending time at the cottage on Pleasant Lake where she
would swim, ski and fish. She enjoyed photography, knitting
and crocheting and watching all types of wildlife, right out
her back door.
She was a strong supporter of the West Carthage Volunteer
Fire Department, helping in whatever capacity she
could.
She loved to chat with her numerous friends.
Surviving are a brother and his wife, Alan L. and Barbara
Flynn, West Carthage; her long time companion, Max
Brzezinski, Carthage; a niece, Bethany Lynn Flynn, West
Carthage; a nephew, Adam Christopher Flynn, West Carthage;
four uncles, Stanley Flynn of Monroe, Ohio, David Brown,
West Carthage, Donald Brown, Carthage, and Robert Miller,
Carthage; numerous cousins,
and her beloved kitty “Dutchess”.
Funeral
services will be held 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at Bezanilla-McGraw
Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Farr, pastor of the Emmanuel
Congregational Church in Watertown, officiating. Spring
burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Champion. Calling hours
are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Jefferson
County SPCA or West Carthage Volunteer Fire Department.
