WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Joan R. Grant, 81, died Sunday, Dec. 23, at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown.

Born May 31, 1931 in Watertown, the daughter of Clarence Philip and Ruth Roy, she graduated from Watertown High School and earned her nursing certificate.

A marriage to Harold A. Grant ended in divorce.

She was employed as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital and House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, both in Watertown, Doctors Hospital, Coral Gables, Fla., and was a summer camp nurse at 4-H Camp Wabasso, Redwood.

Mrs. Grant enjoyed puzzles and doing crossword.

Survivors include two sons, Harold P., Watertown and James Bristol, Fla.; a daughter, Leanne Bristol, Fla.; two brothers, Donald Propeck, Ga., and David Propeck, Fla.; a granddaughter and her husband, Angela M. and Randy Trombley, Watertown; a grandson, Matthew Grant, Brownville; and two great grandchildren, Alijah and Andrea Trombley, Watertown.

There will be no services.
