— Clyde Orlo Norton, 78, formerly
of Happy Acres, Copenhagen, died Saturday evening at Lewis
County General Hospital, where he was a patient for a day.
He previously resided at the Lewis County Residential Health
Care Facility for the past two years.
Born June 6, 1929, in the town of Turin, son of the late
Orlo J. and Minnie Ingersoll Norton, he attended rural
school #6 at Burdick’s Crossing.
Mr. Norton worked on area farms and worked for many years at
Bramans Manufacturing in Carthage.
He was a member of Long Falls
Baptist Church, Carthage.
Surviving are a brother, Frank Norton, Glenfield; a sister,
Erma Hall, Carthage; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A sister, Louise Hall, died before him.
The funeral will be 8 p.m. Tuesday , May 6, at
Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family
in Turin Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, May 6, prior to the funeral service at the funeral
home.
