DEXTER, NY — Peter J. Cullen, 61, of E. Grove Street, Dexter, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 10, at his home with his family by his side.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. The funeral service will be held for the convenience of the family with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
Peter was born Oct. 19, 1956, in Watertown, a son to Walter A. and Florence Roberts Cullen. He spent his early years enjoying his time at the lake at Campbell’s Point.
He was an avid New York Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan.
Peter was known for a wonderful smile and cheerful disposition. He was a kind and loving soul who brought joy to all who knew him.
Peters family would like to thank the staff at the JRC house in Dexter for the loving and compassionate care they gave Peter during the last several years including Kristen, Gabby, Laurie, Heather, Mary, Regina, Regan, Sheree, Colton, Linda, Miguel, Heidi, Cathy and Lovi.
Peter is survived by two sisters, Jeanne Cullen and Mary Martuzas, both of Watertown; a brother, Mark Cullen, Chaumont; his nieces and nephews, Chuck, Connie and Jesse Martuzas, Matt Eaton and Elizabeth O’Keefe; eight great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Walter A. Cullen, Jr.
