WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 24, MEDIA RELEASE:
On 9/24/08 at 2:16 a.m., James W. Campbell, 27, of 1008 Hattie St.,
Covington, Va., was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated; Driving With .08 of
One Percent or More of Alcohol; Criminal Trespass, Second Degree, a class A
misdemeanor; and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A
misdemeanor, stemming from a trespass in progress complaint. The charges are
the result of an investigation that found Mr. Campbell drove while under the
influence of alcohol, stopping at a Town of Oswego residence, which he
reportedly mistook for a bed and breakfast. While at the residence he allegedly
parked his vehicle on the lawn behind the house and made entry into the
residence without permission, waking the adult resident and her two children
with his alleged screaming and cursing as he banged on all the doors. Mr.
Campbell was arraigned before the Hon. Stanley Jung, Oswego Town Court, and
remanded to the Oswego County correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail
or $2,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 9/29/08 to answer
the charges.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 23, MEDIA RELEASE:
On 9/19/08 at 10:35 p.m., Timothy S. Mills, 43, of 457 Main St., Fair
Haven, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a MV and Inadequate
Muffler after a traffic stop on Fulton Ave. in the Village of Hannibal.
Mr. Mills was issued UTT's, returnable to the Town of Hannibal Court on
9/30/08.
On 9/20/08 at 1:45 p.m., Jonathan D. Rainbow, 19, 4971 Syracuse Rd., Cazenovia,
was operating a 1991 Oldsmobile east on State Route 104, east of New Street in
the town of Oswego, when a 2003 Honda operated by Jessica E. Konop, 20, of 46
Pershing Ave, Babylon, reportedly slowed down due to traffic and was rear ended
by Mr. Rainbow's vehicle. Driver inattention seems to have been a contributing
factor, deputies said. Mr. Rainbow was issued a ticket for Following Too
Closely.
On 9/23/08 at 12:00 a.m., Constance M. Goldberg, 55, of 180 Bunkerhill Rd.,
Oswego, was arrested for DWI, Operating a MV with BAC of .08 of 1% ( both
misdemeanors) and Exceeding 55 MPH after a traffic stop on CR 57 in the town of
Volney. Ms. Goldberg was issued UTT's, returnable to Volney Town Court on
10/6/08.
MONDAY, SEPT. 22, MEDIA RELEASE:
On 9/21/08 at 10:43 a.m., Marcia M. Washburn, 35, of 328 CR 28, Pulaski,
NY, was driving southbound on US Route 11 in the Town of Sandy Creek when
a License Plate Reader targeted her vehicle. A subsequent traffic stop
led to her being charged with Operation While Registration Suspended (insurance
lapse 8/14/08). Ms. Washburn was released on a traffic ticket and is
scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Sandy Creek Court on 10/16/08.
On 9/20/08 at 10:20 a.m., Kayla M. Nolan, 38, of 308 Hawley St., Syracuse, NY,
was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (insurance lapse
on 7/17/08); Operation While Registration Revoked; and Unlicensed Operator
(license expired on 4/05/07), following a traffic stop in the Village of
Pulaski after a License Plate Reader targeted her vehicle as she drove
westbound on SR 13. Released on tickets, Ms. Nolan is scheduled to answer
the charges before Village of Pulaski Court on 10/15/08.
On 9/19/08, Gerald T. Hall, 29, of 75 E. 10th St., Apt. 1, Oswego,
NY, was arrested at his residence at 8:14 a.m., charged with Petit Larceny, a
class A misdemeanor; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree; and
Conspiracy, Fourth Degree, a class B misdemeanor, stemming from an incident
that occurred in the Village of Hannibal on 9/11/08 during which he allegedly
participated in stealing meat from the IGA store. Mr. Hall was arraigned
before the Hon. Luther Dennison, Town of Hannibal Court, and remanded to the
Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail
bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 9/30/08.
On 9/19/08 at 5:55 p.m., Thompson Burnswick, Jr., 30, of 432 Peatbed Rd.,
Hannibal, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree
(license suspended 6/14/08 by Town of Granby Court for three scoffs on one
date), following a traffic stop on Fulton Street in the Village of Hannibal.
Mr. Burnswick is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Hannibal Court
on 10/07/08.
On 9/20/08 at 1:37 a.m., Robert E. Hairston, 44, of 7475 Morgan Rd., Apt. 6,
Liverpool, NY, was arrested for felony Driving While Intoxicated; felony
Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol; Crossing Hazardous Road
Markings; and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree, following a
traffic stop on SR 481 in the Town of Volney approximately 1/8 of a mile south
of Van Buren Road, stemming from a STOP DWI detail. He had reportedly
been driving southbound when he was observed crossing the white markings on
three separate occasions within a one-mile distance. Mr. Hairston was
arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court, and remanded to
the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail. He is scheduled to
answer the charge before Town of Volney Court on 9/22/08.
On 9/20/08 at 1:44 a.m., Gerald LaPrate, 44, of 1184 Middle Road, Oswego, NY,
was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent,
and Moved From Lane Unsafely, following the investigation into a personal
injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on SR 104 in the Town of New Haven.
Reportedly, Mr. LaPrate was operating a 2004 Ford westbound on SR 104 when he
lost control causing the car to go off the roadway into a ditch, strike a
utility pole, breaking it in half, then strike a water culvert causing the
vehicle to overturn onto his roof. Mr. LaPrate had to be extricated from
the vehicle. Members of the New Haven Fire Department assisted at the
scene. Mr. LaPrate was arraigned before Town of Scriba Court and remanded
to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000
bail bond. He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of New Haven
Court on 9/25/08.
On 9/20/08 at 11:27 a.m., a 16 year old male residing in the Town of Palermo,
was served a summons issued by Town of Mexico Court charging him with
Harassment, Second Degree, a violation, stemming from an incident that occurred
on 9/11/08 in the Village of Mexico when he was accused of choking a female
victim during a fight that involved several youths. He is scheduled to
answer the charge before Town of Mexico Court on 10/14/08.
On 9/20/08 at 12:30 p.m., Robert D. Angle, 38, and Kelly E. Angle, 38, both of
2950 Reedy Creek Blvd., Kissimmee, Florida, were each arrested based on
warrants from the State of Florida charging them with being Fugitives From
Justice. The pair were arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of
Scriba Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without
bail. They are scheduled to reappear before Town of Scriba Court on
10/23/08.
On 9/20/08, Benjamin W. Reed, 22, of 263 Churchill Road, Oswego, NY, was
operating a 2005 ATV four-wheeler in a field near Churchill Road in the Town of
Scriba at 3:43 p.m. when he reportedly failed to see a ditch 1/10 of a mile
west of Churchill Road and impacted the side of the ditch, causing him to flip
off the side with the ATV overturning onto its side. Mr. Reed was
airlifted to University Hospital in Syracuse. Unsafe speed appears to
have been a contributing factor in the incident.
On 9/20/08 at 5:53 p.m., Kevin L. Hendrix, 43, of 1001 CR 37, Central Square,
NY, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended (insurance lapse
5/09/08) following a traffic stop on SR 69 in the Town of Parish, which was
initiated after his vehicle was targeted by a License Plate Reader. Mr.
Hendrix was released on a ticket returnable to Town of Parish Court on
10/14/08.
On 9/21/08 at 12:20 a.m., Richard F. Bill, 25, of 1835 Bellevue Ave., Syracuse,
NY, was ticketed for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (six active
suspensions for failing to answer a summons: 10/16/05-Chittenango,
9/24/05-Sullivan, 3/11/05-Camillus, 11/10/04-Cortlandville, 11/10/04-
Cortlandville, and 11/05/04-Salina), and Failed to Keep Right, subsequent to a
traffic stop after he was observed crossing over the center line while driving
northbound on SR 48 in the Town of Granby. Mr. Bill was arraigned before
the Hon. Patricia Kerfien, Town of Volney Court, and released on $200 cash
bail. He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Granby Court on
9/22/08.
