Dexter Man Charged with Robbery

DEXTER, N.Y. —   State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Watertown early Monday charged Jesse D. Weeks, 26, of 15749 Route 12E, with first-degree robbery.

An investigator said Mr. Weeks entered a residence in the village of Dexter of a "known associate, and once inside a fight ensued in which the victim was struck on the head with an object."

Mr. Weeks stole approximately $900 cash from the victim, police said.

The victim suffered cuts to the head and was treated at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

Mr. Weeks was stopped in a vehicle at about 1:30 a.m. Monday in the town of Brownville and was turned over to state police.
