RELEASE:
On 11/25/08 at 12:46 a.m., a 17-year-old male residing in the Town of
Scriba was arrested at his residence charged with Endangering the Welfare of a
Child, a class A misdemeanor stemming from the investigation into a domestic
dispute in which he allegedly threatened physical violence towards an
individual in the presence of a child less than 17 years of age. He was
arraigned in Scriba Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional
Facility in lieu of $250.00 cash or $500.00 bond with a return to court date of
12/4/08.
MONDAY, NOV. 24, MEDIA
RELEASE:
On 11/21/08 at 11:00 a.m., Eugene
R. Beckwith, 40, of 4516 Grace Place, Jamesville, was arrested based on a
warrant issued by Town of Mexico Court charging him with Aggravated Unlicensed
Operation, Third Degree. A member of the New York State Police detained Mr.
Beckwith after the warrant was revealed during a traffic stop initiated by them
in North Syracuse. Mr. Beckwith was turned over to a member of the Oswego
County Sheriff’s Office, arraigned before the Hon. James Metcalf, Oswego
County Family Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in
lieu of $100 cash bail or $200 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Town
of Mexico Court on 11/25/08.
On 11/21/08, at 4:55 a.m., Joseph A. Battles, 39, of 210 Second St. and
7486 Oswego Road, Liverpool, was taken into custody based on a warrant out of
Onondaga County issued by the Hon. Michele Pirro Bailey, charging him with
violating the Family Court Act. Mr. Battles was turned over to a member
of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office for further processing.
On 11/21/08 at 9:51 a.m., Harry M. Shuler, 43, of 1237 CR 85, Hannibal,
was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree, following a
traffic stop on SR 3 in the town of Granby. Mr. Shuler was driving the same
vehicle he was operating during a previous traffic stop by the same officer
during October of this year (11 total suspensions with 6 scoffs on 4 different
dates) when he was similarly charged. Candy M. Walker, also of 1237 CR 85,
Hannibal, the registered owner of the vehicle, arrived on the scene and was
ticketed for Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and released. Mr.
Shuler was arraigned before Town of Hannibal Court and released on his own
recognizance. Both are scheduled to answer the charges before Town of
Granby Court on 11/24/08.
On 11/21/08, Curtis A. Pollard 3rd, 39, of 6 N. Fourth St.,
Fulton, was operating a 1989 Ford westbound on Pierce Drive in the town of
Volney at 5:47 p.m. when he lost control of his car, while sliding on ice, 1/3
of a mile east of SR 481 and collided with an eastbound 2003 bus registered to
Oswego County Opportunities and driven by Kevin J. Law, 46, of 249 Wiltsieville
Road, Hannibal. Mr. Pollard was transported by ambulance to A.L. Lee Memorial
Hospital in Fulton. Slippery pavement appears to have been a contributing
factor in the incident with road conditions reportedly covered with snow and
ice at the time.
On 11/21/08 at 6:15 p.m., Dale E. Willson II, 25, of 106 North St.,
Cleveland, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree,
following the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the
Village of Cleveland. Reportedly, Rebecca J. Gibbs, 37, of 74 Center Street,
Cleveland, NY, was operating a 2000 Honda suburban southbound on Center Street
approaching SR 49 when she slid on the snow covered roadway and into the
intersection where she collided with a 1997 Chevrolet suburban traveling
westbound on SR 49 operated by Mr. Willson. Ms. Gibbs was transported by
ambulance to University Hospital in Syracuse. Ms. Gibbs was ticketed for
Failure to Yield Right of Way in an Intersection. Both are scheduled to answer
the respective charges before Town of Constantia Court on 12/22/08. Unsafe
speed appears to have been another contributing factor in the incident.
On 11/22/08 at 3:33 a.m., Larry D. Thomas, 25, of 931 CR 33, Central
Square, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Oswego County Court
charging him with Burglary, Third Degree, a class D felony. Mr. Thomas is being
held at the Oswego County Correctional Facility awaiting an appearance before
Oswego County Court on 11/24/08. He was initially detained by the Oswego Police
and turned over to an Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputy for processing.
On 11/22/08, C.M. Livoti-Rice, 40, of 312 West Fifth St., Fulton, was
operating a 2006 Saturn suburban northbound on SR 48 in the town of Granby at
7:42 a.m. when she reportedly drove into some slush on the roadway and lost
control 1/10 of a mile south of Wybron Road, causing the vehicle to go off the
roadway. Ms. Livoti-Rice was transported by ambulance to A.L. Lee Memorial
Hospital in Fulton. Inadequate tires and slippery pavement appear to have
been contributing factors in the incident. Road conditions were reportedly
covered with snow and ice at the time, deputies said.
On 11/22/08 at 7:43 a.m., James F. Casey, 52, of 260 Weaver Road, Sandy
Creek, was operating a 2001 Ford pickup truck, backing out of his driveway onto
Miller Road when he collided with a 1998 Ford being driven westbound on Miller
Road by Amy B. Montesi, 38, of 202 Frazer Road, Pulaski. The incident occurred
½ mile east of I-81. Mr. Casey was ticketed for Unsafe backing. Failure
to yield the right of way and slippery pavement appear to have been
contributing factors with road conditions reportedly covered with snow and ice.
On 11/22/08 at 10:20 a.m., Chad E. Nepage, 34, of 42 CR 33, Central
Square, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, a violation, at a Town of Hastings
residence, stemming from an investigation after he was accused of violating a
Family Court Order of Visitation by refusing to cooperate with visitation
rights as outlined in the Order. During the investigation he reportedly
became threatening, swearing at the victim and grabbing an officer by his
sleeve to shove the officer out of the way. Mr. Nepage is scheduled to
answer the charge before Town of Hastings Court on 12/01/08.
On 11/22/08 at 12:15 p.m., Daniel L. Gorman, 51, of 66 Ontario St.,
Oswego, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (one
scoff in the City of Oswego for failing to answer a summons on 7/06/08) and
Following Too Close, following the investigation into a motor vehicle accident
that occurred at West Eighth and Bridge Streets in the City of Oswego when he
reportedly rear-ended another vehicle, causing minor damage. Mr. Gorman
is scheduled to answer the charge before Oswego City Court on 12/22/08.
On 11/22/08 at 1:46 p.m., Valerie E. Hart, 33, of 4171 SR 3, Lot 3,
Fulton, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A
misdemeanor. Ms. Hart was released on an appearance ticket returnable to
Town of Palermo Court on 12/08/08. She is accused of engaging in an argument
with a neighbor over CD’s and DVD’s while in the presence of a minor. Assisting
at the scene was a member of the New York State Police.
On 11/22/08 at 3:15 p.m., James J. Iannuzzi Jr., 29, of 2026 County Line
Road, Phoenix, was arrested based on a Family Court Warrant issued by the Hon.
James Metcalf charging him with Violating Article IV of the Family Court Act
(failure to pay support). Mr. Iannuzzi was arraigned before the Hon.
James Aluzzi, Town of Volney Court, and remanded to the Oswego County
Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond. He
is scheduled to appear before Oswego County Family Court on 11/24/08 to answer
the charge.
On 11/22/08 at 3:17 p.m., Gordon R. Perry, 63, of 457 CR 12, Central
Square, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving With .08 of One
Percent or More of Alcohol, stemming from the investigation into a property
damage motor vehicle accident that occurred on CR 12 in the Town of Schroeppel.
Mr. Perry was issued tickets, released to a third party, and is scheduled to
answer the charges before Town of Schroeppel Court on 12/09/08. Mr. Perry
was operating a 2002 Chevrolet pick up truck on CR 12 when he lost control at
the intersection of Fietta Road, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway on the
south side, striking a utility pole, before overturning. Slippery
pavement appears to have been another contributing factor with road conditions
reportedly covered with snow and ice at the time.
On 11/22/08 at 5:20 p.m., Ronald C. Collins, 46, of 1237 CR 85,
Hannibal, was charged with Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and Unlawful
Possession of Marijuana, following a traffic stop on Stock Road in the Town of
Hannibal. Mr. Collins was released on tickets returnable to Town of
Hannibal court on 12/202/08.
On 11/22/08 at 7:25 p.m., Joseph C. Hierholzer Jr., 23, of 489 CR 3,
Fulton, was turned over to an Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputy after being
detained by a member of the New York State Police and subsequently arrested
based on a warrant issued by Town of Granby Court charging him with Aggravated
Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree, and Speed in Zone. He was arraigned
before the Hon. James Aluzzi, Town of Volney Court, and remanded to the Oswego
County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.
He is scheduled to appear before Town of Granby Court on 11/24/08.
On 11/23/08 at 12:05 a.m., Michael E. Shoults, 27, of 1835 CR 8, Fulton,
was arrested for Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after he was accused of
driving away from the Pit Stop Gas Station in the Town of Granby in August
without paying for gasoline. Mr. Shoults was issued an appearance ticket and is
scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Granby Court on 11/24/08.
On 11/22/08, Jose J. Feliciano, 17, of 88 Country Lane, Fulton, was
operating a 1998 Dodge southbound on Rathburn Road in the Town of Granby at
3:32 p.m. when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle 100 feet west of
Wilder Lane causing it to go off the roadway and strike a satellite dish and
tree at 353 Rathburn Road. Unsafe speed and failure to keep right appear
to have been contributing factors in the incident. Mr. Feliciano was ticketed
for Failed to Keep Right and Unlicensed Operator.
