5 Motorists Facing Driving While Intoxicated Charges

The following motorists are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

Marla Baker, 40, of 217 Academy St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 2:53 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Arsenal Street with DWI, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, no inspection and no insurance. Police said she was operating a vehicle with Virginia license plates 'MABOSS' that were reported stolen by Sheila M. Davis, Rustburg, Va. Her blood alcohol content was 0.12 percent, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Ms. Baker was released after posting $500 bail. She is ordered to appear Aug. 24 in City Court.  

Robert I. Brigham III, 25, of 153 Haney St., Watertown, was stopped by Watertown police for failure to keep right and failure to signal a turn at about 2:15 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Grant Street. He was charged with aggravated DWI and had an alleged BAC of 0.19 percent, police said.  Aggravated DWI, which carries a harsher sentence upon conviction, is charged when the blood alcohol content is 0.18 percent or more. He is summoned to appear Aug. 27 in City Court.

Travis J. MacCue, 27, Philadelphia, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 1:53 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, in the driveway of 56 Cornwall St. in Alexandria Bay with DWI. His BAC was 0.11 percent, deputies said. He was also cited with an third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having a defective exhaust. He is to answer the charges Aug. 19 in Village Court.

Jesse K. Holmes, 44, Carthage, was charged by state police at 8:19 p.m. Thursday with DWI following an accident in Carthage. His BAC and further details were unavailable.  

Joseph J. Zulaski, 47, Torrington, Conn., was charged by state police on Route 13 n the town of Richland with DWI, second-degree obstruction of government administration and unlawful possession of marijuana. His BAC and further details were unavailable.
