Watertown Man Charged with Drunk Driving

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Richard W. Phelps, 54, of 331 High St., Apt. A, was stopped by Watertown police at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of High Street for making an improper left turn and was charged with driving while intoxicated.

His blood alcohol content was 0.10 percent, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

Mr. Phelps is summoned to appear Dec. 15 in City Court.


   

 

Deputies: Canton Man Drove While Ability Impaired by Drugs

PHILADELPHIA, N.Y.    Jamie S. Robinson, 32, Canton, was stopped by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 9:03 p.m. Tuesday on Route 11 in the town of Philadelphia for driving across hazard markings and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

He is to answer the charges in Philadelphia Town Court.


   

Police Say Man Violated Court Order Twice

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Gary A. LaBreck Jr., 21, of 127 Walker Ave., Apt. C, was charged by Watertown police at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday at 524 Mill St. with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt.

It is alleged he violated the terms of a City Court order of protection when he was with the protected party, Bobbie Jo Dudley, 26, 524 Mill St., on Oct. 13 at her residence and Jreck Subs, 525 Mill St., according to court documents.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.


City Teen Allegedly Kicked Officer in Knee

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Kenna Rae Williams, 17, of 537 Pearl St., was charged by Watertown police at 1:02 a.m. Tuesday at 334 Clay St. with second-degree harassment, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Police said "she intentionally began yelling, threw her purse nearly striking a police officer, clenched her fists, and raised her arms repeatedly in a tumultuous manner causing onlookers to become alarmed and yell for her to stop acting in such a manner." The incident occurred at about 12:43 a.m. Tuesday at 334 Clay St. 

She also "repeatedly attempted to pull away from police officers as they attempted to place her in handcuffs. The defendant did knee a police officer in the left leg as I attempted to place her in handcuffs. The defendant did kick an officer in the right knee and attempted to pull away as he was walking her to a patrol car after getting her into handcuff," according to court documents.

Miss Williams awaits prosecution in City Court.
