10 Gouverneur Residents Charged with Selling Drugs

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y.    Members of the Village of Gouverneur Police Department, state police and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, have arrested 10 people on felony counts of criminal sale of controlled substances in the village of Gouverneur and the greater Gouverneur community as the result of an undercover investigation into the sale of these controlled substance over the past several months.

The following individuals were taken into custody early Monday morning:

Carol Bonnell, 49, of 125 Johnstown St., Gouverneur, was charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class D felony, a quantity of diazapam. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Johnathan T. Stowell, 34, of 123 Parker St., Gouverneur, was charge with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of percocet. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Todd B. McIntosh, 47, of 136 Depot St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of tyelonly with codeine. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Dale F. Dedrick, 53, of 94 E. Main St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of oxycodone. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Stewart E. Miller, 47, of 72 Spencer St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of cocaine. Held without bail.

Daniel E. Miller, 25, of 72 Spencer St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of tylenol with codeine. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Randy C. Bowman, 45, of 104 Prospect St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of cocaine. Bail set at $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond. 

Weldon R. Lashbrooks Jr., 46, of 283 Spencer St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of cocaine. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Eric J. Parow, 25, of 48A Clinton St., Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sales of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of cocaine. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

Rita M. Charter, 42, of 4336 State Highway 58, Lot 12, Gouverneur, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, a quantity of oxycontin. Bail set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond. 

All subjects were arraigned before Gouverneur town justices John W. Riordan and Stanley H. Young Jr. All were sent to the St. Lawrence County Jail on bail as stated after hearing bail recommendations from the St. Lawrence County District Attorney's Office. 

It is anticipated that the cases will be presented to a county grand jury.

The investigations continuing and additional charges are expected.
