Tenant Accused of Damaging Watertown Apartment

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    William B.M. O'Brien, 22, of 736 W. Main St., Apt. 4, was charged at 12:23 a.m. Friday at his residence with third-degree criminal mischief.

He is accused of damaging a refrigerator, wall and door in his apartment causing $875 in damage on Feb. 21, according to a complaint filed by his landlord, Perry F. McIntosh, Adams Center.

He is summoned to appear March 30 in City Court.


Police: Watertown Man Sold Stolen Bicycle for $19

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Edward L. Whitfield III, 44, of 518 W. Main St., Apt. 1, was charged by Watertown police at 11:54 p.m. Thursday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Police allege he sold a stolen bicycle belonging to Amy L. Powell, 549 W. Main St., for $19 at Re-Sale America, Court Street, on Oct. 30.

He is summoned to appear March 30 in City Court.



Watertown Woman Charged with Drunk Driving

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Sarah L. Haase, 28, of 418 Stone St., Apt. A, was charged by Watertown police at 1:25 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Stone Street with driving while intoxicated and failure to signal a turn.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.17 percent, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

She is summoned to appear March 30 in City Court. 


   

Police: Man Stole 22 CDs from Car Parked at Mercy

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Theodore G. Smith Jr., 22, of 120 Duffy St., was arrested early Thursday by Watertown police after being observed urinating in the parking lot of Mercy of Northern New York and then stealing items from a car.

He was charged with petit larceny, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and disorderly conduct.

Police said he stole 22 compact discs from a 1999 Ford Explorer belonging to Melissa M. Redford, 35, Carthage, at about 1:19 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Stone Street.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $250 police bail pending arraignment Thursday morning in City Court.


City Woman Lied About Incident, Police Say

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Dorinda L. Baker, 25, of 217 Central St., Apt. 2, was charged by Watertown police Wednesday afternoon with thid-degree falsely reporting an incident and making a false statement.

She is accused of providing police with a false written statement that claimed her estranged husband, William J. Baker II, violated the terms of a stay away order of protection on March 8 by contacting her in the 100 block of Court Street. Police allege the incident never occurred. 

She is ordered to appear March 24 in City Court.


   

Woman Accused of Shoplifting at General Store

WATERTOWN, N.Y.    Eliesha M. Miner, 26, of 140 High St., Apt. 11, was charged by Watertown police at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday with petit larceny.

Police said she stole a box of Charleston Chews valued at $1.49 at about 11:50 a.m. Feb. 14 at The General Store, 816 Bradley St.

She awaits prosecution in City Court.
