Police Blotter Report:
Mark S. Remington, 25, of 613 Franklin St., Apt. 1,
Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:10 p.m.
Wednesday at 260 E. Main St. with third-degree assault. He
is accused of punching his ex-girlfriend, Laurena Chapin,
in her face causing a swollen jaw at about 10:00 p.m. Nov.
27 at 613 Franklin St., police said. He was being held at
the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending
arraignment Thursday morning in City Court.
Haley M. Dejesus, 19, of 123 S. Rutland St., upper
apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 10:05
p.m. Wednesday at her residence with first-degree criminal
contempt, a felony, and second-degree harassment. She is
accused of violating the terms of an order of protection
when she grabbed her husband, Anthony I. Dejesus, by his
shirt as he was attempting to leave their residence during
a domestic incident at about 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, police
said. She was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public
Safety Building pending arraignment Thursday morning in
City Court.
Jason M. Smiley, 32, of 529 New York Ave., Apt. 3,
Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:25 p.m.
Wednesday at his residence with criminal obstruction of
breathing or blood circulation. It is alleged Mr. Smiley
grabbed Toni E. Murray around her neck with with hands and
applied pressure at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, police
said. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public
Safety Building pending arraignment Thursday morning in
City Court.
Marcus Leandry, 40, Carthage, was charged by
Watertown police at 7:42 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block
of Mechanic Street with third-degree assault and
fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police allege Mr. Leandry
punched his girlfriend, Nichole L. Eves, Carthage, in her
left eye causing swelling, bruising and a bloody nose at
about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at 234 Mechanic St. He is also
kicking the rear driver's side window of a police patrol
car causing the window to be knocked off it track at about
7:42 p.m., police said. He was being held at the
Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment
Thursday morning in City Court.
Kelly J. Mallette, 27, of 37765 Greenizen Rd.,
Clayton, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's
deputies at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday with petit larceny. She is
accused of stealing $105.65 worth of merchandise from
Super Wal-Mart, 25737 Route 11, town of LeRay, at about
5:28 p.m. Wednesday by exiting the store without paying,
deputies said. She is summoned to appear Dec. 10 in LeRay
Town Court.
Christy
J. McNeil, 33, of 13775 Route 11, Apt. 1, Adams, was
transported by Guilfoyle Ambulance at Samaritan Medical
Center Wednesday afternoon complaining of chest pain after
a one-vehicle crash in the 1500 block of Washington
Street. Police said Ms. McNeil was traveling south on
Washington Street in a 2008 Volkswagen sport utility
vehicle when she drove over black ice causing her vehicle
to slide toward the northbound lane. She told police she
turned the wheel to correct the vehicle and then headed in
a southwestern direction leaving the roadway, traveling
down an embankment and striking a group of trees at about
4:13 p.m. No tickets were issued.
