Watertown Police Department:


Robert P. Gayfer, 68, of 360 S. Rutland St., was charged by Watertown police at 3:06 p.m. Monday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree assault. Mr. Gayfer is accused of punching his neighbor, David M. Reed, 362 S. Rutland St., in his face with a closed fist causing swelling, substantial pain and discomfort to his jaw at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday at 362 S. Rutland St., police said. Mr. Gayfer is ordered to appear Dec. 9 in City Court. 

Ricardo J. Agusto, 36, of 126 Winslow St., Apt. 3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:25 a.m. Monday at his residence with second-degree harassment. It is alleged Mr. Agusto punched Pearl L. Bryant in the back of her head at about 11:40 a.m. Nov. 1 in their apartment, police said. He is summoned to appear Dec. 3 in City Court. 

Tyler S. Hamilton, 21, of 677 Bronson St., Watertown, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. Monday at his residence on a bench warrant. He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Tuesday morning in City Court. 



Jefferson County Sheriff's Department:

Scott J. Haver
, 41, of 32325 County Route 54, Clayton, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 7:16 p.m. Nov. 14 on Route 12 in the town of Clayton with aggravated driving while intoxicated following an accident. Details of the accident and his blood alcohol content were not provided. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. He is ordered to appear Dec. 3 in Clayton Town Court. 

Justin T. Sackett
, 27, of 330 S. Main St., Mannsville, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 8:30 p.m. Monday on County Route 91 in the town of Ellisburg with driving while intoxicated following an accident. Deputies said Mr. Sackett swerved to avoid power lines across the roadway at CR 91 and Cobb Place at about 8:07 p.m. Monday causing the 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck to exit the roadway striking a power pole which fell. He was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center complaining of head pain, according to an accident report. A blood sample was drawn at the hospital to determine his blood alcohol content. He was additionally cited for driving an uninspected vehicle, deputies said. He is summoned to appear Dec. 11 in Ellisburg Town Court.
