State Police Cut Ribbon on
New Station in Alexandria Bay

ALEXANDRIA BAY, N.Y.   Maj. Frank J. DeGennaro, Troop D commander, Capt. Darrin S. Pitkin, zone commander for Jefferson, Lewis, and Oswego counties, and other special guests help to cut the ribbon at their new Alexandria Bay barracks during an open house Saturday afternoon.

The new station is located at 43341 Route 12 in Alexandria Bay near the Thousand Islands Bridge and Interstate 81. The building is owned by the Thousand Islands Bride Authority.

Demonstrations were conducted by the mobile response team, K-9 units and scuba teams. Also on display was a state police helicopter, a roll-over simulator, and the use of radar, laser and other speed control devices.
