WATERTOWN, NY — The funeral service for Robert L. Howard will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey E. Smith officiating. Spring burial will be held in Brookside Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the funeral at the funeral home beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Robert passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, at Samaritan Medical Center. He was 60 years old.
Born May 20, 1958, in Terra Haute, Indiana, a son to Charles and Nancy (Conway) Howard, he received his high school diploma from Big Ben Community College, and joined the United States Army. Following an honorable discharge, Robert worked as a C.N.A. at several hospitals throughout his career.
On Aug. 30, 1997, he married Shirley J. Carlisle.
He enjoyed Pittsburgh Steelers football, Steve Wilkos, and watching the I.D. channel.
Surviving besides his wife, Shirley, and his mom, Nancy, are his children: Angela Misercola, Morgan Howard, Brianna Howard, Savanah Howard, Chelsea Howard, Jasmin Howard; a grandchild: Gabriel; and three siblings: Cindy Downey, Michelle Patchen, John Howard. He will also be survived by his grandchild Opal Jean, due in April.
Besides his father, Charles, he is predeceased by three siblings: Charles, Richard and Cathy.
