Ruth B. Trim, 86, Carthage

CARTHAGE, NY – Ruth B. Martin Trim, 86, formerly of 36633 NYS Route 3, Carthage, NY died Monday, May 21, 2018, at Country Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for several years.

Born March 27, 1932 in Watertown, NY, a daughter of the late Harry and Louise (Abbott) Martin, she graduated from Watertown High School.

She married Burlan B. Trim  on May 5, 1951, at the First Presbyterian Church in Watertown.

She was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed camping and trips to the casino with her sisters. She also enjoyed the many beagles she had over the years.

Surviving are a son, David (Marge) Trim of Carthage; a brother, Gary (Belinda) Martin of Dexter; a sister, Dorothy Hamblin of Watertown; four grandchildren, Jonathan Parobeck, Roxanne Dowling, Danielle Babcock and Michael Trim; as well as three great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was predeceased by her husband, Burlan, who died Feb. 22, 2006; a daughter, Sandra Weyer, who died March 7, 2015; a son, Daniel, who died at birth; three brothers, William, Harry Jr., and Robert Martin; and two sisters, Irene Doyle and Carolyn Burdick.

No public calling hours will be held.  A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium, with Reverend Bruce Chapman officiating.
