WATERTOWN, NY — The funeral for Shirley A. Warren, 79, will be noon Tuesday, July 3, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Calling hours will precede the service at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Shirley passed away Wednesday, June 27, at her home.
Born Dec. 24, 1938, in Ticonderoga, NY, she was a daughter to David and Mildred Archambault. Following her high school graduation Shirley obtained a bachelor’s degree of Science & Math from the University of Albany.
Shirley was employed as a bookkeeper and accountant for Watertown’s Family Counseling Center and New Day Nursery.
On June 5, 1960 she married Neal E. Warren in Albany, NY. Mr. Warren passed away Dec. 20, 2011.
Shirley was the director of NNY Duplicate Bridge Club, and a member of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church. She was an avid traveler, a life master in Bridge, and an accomplished reader (she read over 100 books a year).
Shirley will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, David (Robin) Warren, Watertown, and Olin Warren, Watertown; her grandchildren, Piper, Julian, Cyrus, Tyler, Justin; her great-granddaughters: Ever-lynn & Kailee; and her puppy “Brunzy”.
Besides her husband, Shirley was predeceased by a daughter in-law, Dawn Warren.
