CANTON, NY — Erik J. Martin, 38, of 3457 County Route 27, Russell, was charged Wednesday, July 27, with second-degree arson, second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to 3392 County Route 27 in the town of Clare for a reported burglary in process.
Upon arrival, deputies located Mr. Martin inside the residence where he was taken into custody.
He was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Jail with bail set at $15,000 cash.
Deputies were assisted by state police. Further details were not provided.
