St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center employee accused of stealing from patients

OGDENSBURG, NY — The Ogdensburg Police Department opened an investigation from a complaint filed by the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center on the date of Oct. 10, 2018.

It was reported that over the course of several months, someone had been forging employee signatures in order to steal money from patients, police said.

The investigation by the Ogdensburg Police Department concluded that there was evidence to support that a crime had been committed and subsequently arrested Danica L. Trimble, 44, of 3 Fisher Street, Canton, NY, according to police.

Ms. Trimble was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and falsifying business records, both felonies.

She was released on an appearance ticket returnable Dec. 19 in Ogdensburg City Court.

Further charges may be pending, police said.
