Stephens Media Group Watertown announces new hire at Froggy 97 in its jobs restructuring efforts

WATERTOWN, NY – Mike Stoffel, better known on Froggy 97 as Web Foot, has accepted a new position with Stephens Media Group as production & social media director to begin immediately.

The agreement was reached Friday, one day after the company’s announcement of its jobs restructuring efforts.

The move allows Stoffel to use his talents across all of Stephens Media Group’s Watertown stations, as well as being heard Monday – Friday from 3pm to 7pm on Froggy 97.

“Getting Mike on board as local talent in this capacity opens up multiple doors for our radio stations to better serve the community, entertain our listeners, and drive better results for our advertisers,” said Stephens Media Group owner, David Stephens. “It also puts someone in position to coordinate our current and future initiatives in social media and the digital space.”

Glenn Curry, the Watertown Market Manager added, “The whole station is energized to have Mike back as a result of our jobs restructuring initiative, and we’re looking forward to continued success.”

“I’m excited to expand my role in this new position, while still being involved with the Froggy 97 audience, both on air and online,” said Stoffel.

Initially, the Production & Social Media position is part time, but becomes full time in a matter of a few weeks. This is the first new job created in the company’s Watertown jobs restructuring plan, with others soon to be announced.
