Theodore P. Robinson, 86, Albany

WATERTOWN, NY — Theodore P. “Ted” Robinson, 86, passed away suddenly Friday, Aug. 17, in Albany, NY, after battling cancer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.

Ted was born May 3, 1932, and raised in Watertown, NY, the son of Leon and Loretta Robinson formerly of the Loretta Robinson Shop on Court Street.

Ted was preceded in death by his beloved son, Matthew.

He is survived by his former wife Norene Fry Robinson, daughter Linda Robinson, son-in-law Harvey Rempel and grandson Mark Rempel.

Ted attended the University of Rochester where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Industrial Management and master’s degrees in both Applied Mathematics and Optics.  Later in life Ted received his J.D from Albany Law School. He was employed as an Optical Engineer at the Eastman Kodak Co for 28 years.

In 1986 Ted moved to San Diego where he worked for Science Applications International Corporation.

Upon receipt of his law degree in 1994, he was a practicing attorney in Albany, NY, until his death.

Ted will be remembered fondly for his cross-country bicycle rides, winter mountaineering, running the New York Marathon, playing the violin, and many other interesting experiences.

A graveside service in Ted’s memory will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, in Glenwood Cemetery in Watertown, NY. A celebration of Ted’s life will be hosted by the loving Schell-Guy family Sunday, Sept. 2, in Albany, NY.
