Watertown man accused of violating order of protection

WATERTOWN, NYManuel G. Gandia, 34, of 177 Mechanic St., Apt. 3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:43 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at his residence with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

He is accused of violation the terms of a stay-away order of protection issued by City Judge Eugene R. Renzi when he went to the residence of the protected party, Michele L. Gadia, 32, and was in her presence at about 4:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, at 642 Academy St., according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
