WATERTOWN, NY — Joshua N. Roshia, 35, of 227 Francis St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:06 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in the 100 block of S. Hamilton Street with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, insufficient tail lamps, a brake light violation and operating a vehicle without an interlock device.
His blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.
The DWI charge is a felony due to a previous DWI conviction on Sept. 23, 2009, and an aggravated DWI conviction on March 22, 2012, according to court documents.
He was being held pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
