Watertown man facing charges after domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NY — Daniel R. Pitkin, 24, of 1210 Superior St., Apt. C3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Samaritan Medical Center, 830 Washington St., with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is accused of grabbing Sharayah Pitkin, 25, by her face and pinned her against a wall during a domestic incident at about 1:50 p.m. Thursday at their apartment, police said. He also allegedly grabbed a cell phone from her hand while she was attempting to call 911 for assistance and threw it against a wall in the presence of two children, ages 9-months-old and a 3-year-old, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Thursday evening in City Court.
