FELTS MILLS, NY — William Arthur “Bill” Lawrence, 62, Felts Mills, passed away Jan. 24, 2019, peacefully at his sister’s home in Sarasota, FL.
There will be no services per Bill’s wishes.
His children are planning a celebration of life gathering for a later spring date and a private burial.
Bill was born June 28, 1956, in Watertown, NY, a son of Gerald Guy Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth (Irwin) Lawrence.
Upon completing his GED, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. Following his Navy career he worked for a short period as a manager at the Watertown Airport before beginning a lengthy career as a construction worker and foreman. He worked for many companies but his biggest joy was working alongside his closest friend, Mike Taylor, on many projects.
Bill married Nanette J (Hoover) Lawrence in June 1994.
Bill loved construction, fishing and riding his wheeler but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud grandpa and loved all of his grand babies and grand puppies as well!
Bill is survived by his wife Nanette of Watertow; a son, William (Matt) Hoover and his wife Abby of Three Mile Bay; a daughter, Robin Reali and her husband Bryan of Lowville; four sisters, Barbara (Charles) Galloway of Auburn, Diana (Darrel) Roach of Weedsport Wendy Lawrence of Sarasota, Fl and Terry Lawrence-Kelley of Sarasota, FL; a brother, Gerald (Sonny) Lawrence Jr. of Syracuse and a half sister Chrystie Kilbourne-Terry of Watertown; several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews, his beloved 11 grand babies, and his closest family friends Bill lovingly referred to as his “adopted kids”, Mike, Marshall and Jessica Lunderman
all of Felts Mills.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Gerald and Mary Lawrence and his sister Linda Lawrence.
