WATERTOWN, NYColin L. Hodge, 23, of 909 Emjay Way, Apt. C, Carthage, was charged by Watertown police at 8:06 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at 1222 Arsenal St. with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration, unsafe lane change and driving without a license.

Police allege he operated a motor vehicle in the parking lot of Moe’s, 1222 Arsenal St., while intoxicated with two female children, ages 15 and 14, as passengers.

Leandra’s Law makes it felony to drive drunk with a passenger 15 years or younger.

His blood alcohol content was 0.20 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

He was released to military custody and summoned to appear June 27 in City Court.
