Watertown man charged with burglary, arson and criminal mischief

WATERTOWN, NYSean L. Lawwill, 32, of 865 LeRay St., upper apt., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree burglary, a felony, fourth-degree arson, a misdemeanor, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny.

He is accused of unlawfully entering a garage at 531 Mill St. owned by Gary W. Currier, Calcium, took a chainsaw out of the garage, stole gas from the chainsaw, poured it onto a brush pile and started a fire at about 10:36 a.m. Tuesday, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Tuesday evening in City Court.
