WPD: Man jumped from second floor of Solar Building following physical domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NY — At about 10:12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, uniformed patrol officers were detailed to the Solar Building at 206 Franklin St. for a possible physical domestic at apartment #207.

When officers arrived they could hear a woman crying and people arguing. Officers attempted to speak with the occupants, however, the male occupant refused them entry and threatened to harm the officers, police said.

While waiting for additional patrols, an injured 22-year-old female exited the apartment.

A short time later, a male was seen dropping out of the apartment’s second floor window, police said. He was located in the parking lot and detained.

The female, who had lacerations to her head, and the male, who was injured in the fall, were transported by Guilfoyle Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center, police said.

Both were treated for their injuries and released.

As a result of the above investigation, 25-year-old Sean A. Pitts, same address as above, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

He was arraigned in City Court this morning before the Hon. Anthony Neddo.

Mr. Pitts was released under supervision and turned over to the US Army.
