22-year-old Lowville man accused of choking, striking girlfriend

LOWVILLE, NY —  Dakota J. Tuttle, 22, Lowville, was charged by Lowville police at 8:00 p.m. Dec. 10 with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment.

“It is alleged that on Monday, Dec. 9, at about 7:30 p.m., Mr. Tuttle was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend at Tuttle’s residence. During the incident, it is alleged that Tuttle grabbed the victim by her throat, and struck her in the face several times. It is also alleged that Tuttle prevented the victim from leaving the residence by physically pulling her back into the residence and holding the door shut,” police said.

He was is summoned to appear in Lowville Village Court at a later date.
