3 charged with drug possession during traffic stop in Lowville, police say

LOWVILLE, NY — On March 18th, 2026, the Lowville Police Department arrested three individuals after a traffic stop on Dayan Street.

42-year-old Amber Howland of Watertown, NY was stopped for a traffic violation and driving on a suspended license.

43-year-old Shawn Edick, also of Watertown NY, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Howland and Edick were found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and a smoking device.

They were both issued appearance tickets for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, returnable to Lowville Town Court in April.

33-year-old Michael White, State of Ohio, was found to be in possession of approximately 10 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine and packaging material. White was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree with intent to sell (class D felony). He was issued an appearance ticket for Lowville Town Court in April.
