4 possible COVID-19 exposure locations in Lewis County

LOWVILLE, NY —  With each confirmed case of COVID-19, Public Health staff investigate and identify close contacts and exposure risk.

Per New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, those persons who have been in contact with someone who is positive for COVID-19 will be placed in quarantine and monitored for symptoms.

While investigating the latest cases, Public Health identified the following establishments where individuals may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus:

• Buckingham Hardware, 9801 Main St, Croghan
o Monday, November 9th between 7am – 12 pm
o Tuesday, November 10th between 7 am – 7 pm
o Wednesday, November 11th between 11 am – 7 pm

• Lloyds of Lowville, 7405 S State St, Lowville between 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm on the following dates:
o Wednesday, November 4th – Friday, November 6th
o Monday, November 9th – Friday, November 13th

• McDonalds, 7404 Turin Rd, Lowville between 5 am – 7 am on the following dates:
o Monday, November 2nd – Friday, November 6th
o Monday, November 9th

• Town Talk Diner, 9855 NY-12, Copenhagen
o Friday, November 6th between 5 pm – 6 pm

If you were at the above establishments on the dates and times listed, you should call (315) 376-5108. Due to the anticipated volume of calls, an auto recording will direct you to leave a voicemail with your name and phone number. Public Health will then follow-up with you as soon as possible. Please be patient and remain calm. When preventative measures are being followed (wearing face coverings, washing hands, social distancing, etc.), the risk of exposure in a shared public space is minimal, but precautions should still be taken.
