680 doses of heroin seized in Watertown traffic stop, detectives say

WATERTOWN, NY — On Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, at about 9:00 p.m., members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force were involved in an on-going drug investigation in the City of Watertown.

As a result, a 2020 Dodge Journey was stopped by a Watertown Police road patrol unit. Kentrell L. Barner, age 37, Clay, NY, was operating this vehicle.

Investigation led to the recovery of 680 individual doses of heroin, approximately 12 grams of cocaine, 7 doses of suboxone, 47 doses of buprenorphine and naxalone, digital scales, and $1,048.00 in US currency.

The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force was assisted by the Watertown Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

This is an on- going investigation.
