Narrative:
St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies investigated a fatal accident at the intersection of US Highway 11 and County Route 57 in the town of Stockholm.
A 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by 83-year-old Judith Hinman was traveling northwest on County Route 57 and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of US Highway 11.
Her vehicle was then struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Impala which was traveling southbound on US Highway 11. Both vehicles exited the roadway.
Hinman who was the sole occupant of the Chevrolet Cruze was transported via ambulance to Canton Potsdam Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, deputies said.
The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet Impala were also transported to Canton Potsdam Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
