Alexander J. “Felix” Bishop, 74, Clayton

CLAYTON, NY —  Alexander J. “Felix” Bishop, 74, died Friday, June 2, 2023, at his residence.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton, followed by a short service.

Born Sept. 5, 1948, in Watertown, the son of Raymond and Matilda Murdie Bishop, he attended Lyme Central School.

On July 20, 1974, he married the former Kay Lyndaker at the Lowville Presbyterian Church. Kay passed away Aug. 13, 2022.

Alex worked as a welder at Frinks Snowplow for 32 years, until it closed. He then worked for a time for the Village of Cape Vincent and was also a substitute bus driver.

He is a former member of the Sons of the American Legion.

Surviving are three daughters, Heather (George) Sanford of Depauville, Carrie (Tim) Narrow of Clayton, and Kasie (Tom) Schultz of Henrietta; seven grandchildren, Hunter, Blake, Jena, Breanna, Dominick, Lani, and Gage; nieces and nephews.

A brother, Meade, and a, sister, Linda, both died before him.
