Alice O. Wilder, 89, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Alice O. Wilder, 89, Summit Village and formerly of Skyline Apartments, Watertown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient.

The funeral service will be private on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.  A 1 p.m. graveside service for the public will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda (William) Marshall, Rochester, Debra (Peter) DeCilles, Dexter, Terry (Gary) Roberts, Watertown; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and five great- great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a step-son David Wilder, and two daughters, Margaret Webb and Patricia Potoski.

Alice was born in Carthage, April 28, 1929, a daughter to Gilbert and Margaret Benway Parody.

She was employed at Northland Manufacturing on Bradley St. and later at the Madonna Home in Mercy Hospital for many years.

Alice married Charles E. Webb May 6, 1950.  Mr. Webb passed away Nov. 30, 1978. She married Henry Wilder May 16, 1981.  Mr. Wilder passed Sept. 27, 2007.

Alice was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading and being with her family.
