WATERTOWN, NY — Calling hours for Amy J. Sweet will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Inc. A graveside service will follow visitation in East Rodman Cemetery.
Amy passed away Sunday, June 2, at Samaritan Medical Center. She was 81 years old.
Born Nov. 18, 1937, in Carthage, a daughter of Albert and Lillian (Cross) Tousant, she was educated locally.
She worked as a cab driver at several local cab companies.
On May 4, 1958, she married Gordon D. Sweet. Mr. Sweet passed away Nov. 1, 2007.
Amy enjoyed cookouts, spending time with her family, and playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Richard Sweet, Victoria Majo, Gordon M. Sweet, Tina Sweet and companion Rodney Fancher, Ellen Robinson, Brenda and Jeremiah Delgado, Gary and Samantha Sweet; 31 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and a great great-grandchild.
Amy was predeceased by a son, David Sweet, and a son-in-law, Terry Majo.
