WATERTOWN, NY — Anita Ruth Rancourt, 48, Watertown NY, loving wife of Michael Allen Unrue, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY, of a sudden and unexpected illness.
She is survived by her husband Michael, her daughter Marina Rancourt, her brother Raymond Rancourt and her mother Martha Rancourt. She is also survived by her beloved Uncle Mike, Aunt Flo and Cousin Missy in Long Island, NY and other relatives in Florida, Maine and elsewhere.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Anita lived in many places before finally settling in Watertown, NY, with her husband and daughter.
She earned an online associate’s of science degree in Health and Human Services from Ultimate Medical Academy. While completing her coursework at UMA, Anita achieved several Dean’s List honors.
She loved playing tennis, softball, long walks and any chance to swim. Above all, she enjoyed creating a loving home for her husband and daughter. Anita will be greatly missed by her family and friends but especially by her husband Michael.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday Sept. 13, 2018, at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc.
A prayer service will be 1:15 p.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by a 2 p.m. funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church with Rev. Christopher Looby officiating.
