BLACK RIVER, NY — Ann B. Hopkins, 88, passed away February 22, 2019 in Parkway Manor in Marion, Illinois. She and her husband John H. Hopkins lived on Stafford Drive in Black River, NY and were members of St John’s Episcopal Church. Her husband, John was the Principal of several elementary schools in the Carthage Central School system. John died in 1972.  After his death, Ann returned to college and earned her Teaching Certification. She taught at the Black River Elementary School. Her sons, Lewis and David predeceased her. Ann is buried beside John in the Black River Cemetery. There were no funeral arrangements.
