WATERTOWN, NY — Ann L. Grieco, 91, of Boon Street, Watertown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Samaritan Summit Village, where she had been a resident for a short time.
Mrs. Grieco was born April 14, 1927, in Watertown, a daughter of Michael and Angelina Grittani Mistersaro.
She married Peter Grieco on Aug. 3, 1947, at St. Anthony’s Church. Mr. Grieco died in 1982.
Mrs Grieco was employed with Grieco’s Brass Rail, Weston’s Department Store and the City of Watertown as a civil clerk in the City Court office, retiring at 62.
Mrs. Grieco was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church a member of their Altar Rosary Society and was a volunteer at the Mt. Carmel Feast. She was a member of the Italian American Civic Association Auxiliary.
Mrs. Grieco enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, watching Yankees baseball and Syracuse basketball.
Surviving are a son, Peter G. and (Julie) Grieco, Watertown; three daughters, Marianne M. (Michael) Colligan, Watertown, Patricia G. “Pattie” (Kevin) Miller, Oswego, and Janet M. (Jose) Echevarria, Merritt Island, FL; a sister, Josephine Grieco, Watertown; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Joseph Mistersaro, and two sisters, Rose Grant and Mary Palumbo, all died before her.
Mrs. Grieco’s family would like to thank the staff of 3B at Samaritan Summit for all of the care and kindness they gave to their mother.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Church with Msgr. Robert Aucoin officiating.
Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
