AnnaMae Berry-Russell, 91, Lowville

LOWVILLE, NY – AnnaMae Berry-Russell, 91, died Tuesday morning, July 10, 2018, at Lewis County General Hospital comfort room with her family at her side.

Born July 18, 1926, in Lowville, the daughter of the late William and Mary C. (Pierre) Dicob, she attended General Martin High School in Glenfield.

She married Franklin Berry on Jan. 1, 1947, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Franklin died in December 1975.

She was a nurse’s aide at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility retiring in October of 1983. She married Howard Russell on June 17, 1983 and he died in 1984.

She was predeceased by her son, George E. Berry, granddaughter, Nicole S. Berry-Garnsey; son-in-law, John S. Lee, her brother, Franklin and her sister, Catherine.

Surviving are her four children, Judith A. Corbin of Lowville; Donald J. (Brenda) Berry of Chaumont; Catherine L. (David) Kraeger of Constableville; Duane R. (Jannelle) Berry of Lowville; a daughter-in-law, DeeDee Berry of Martinsburg; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, her step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for family and friends will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 16, at the Sundquist Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan with Rev. Donald Manfred, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
