WATERTOWN, NY – From food to farmers to family, CCE has programming for all your needs and interests in August!

Back-to-School Clothing Swap (Wednesday, August 3rd from 5:30PM-7:30PM): We provide the space here at CCE, you provide the clothes. In preparation for back-to-school, families are invited to bring in gently used children’s clothes you no longer need to swap with others. Please ensure all clothes are washed and free of any rips or stains. All sizes welcome!

Farm to Community: Neighbors Feeding Neighbors (Fridays from 1:30PM to 2:30PM): Let us bring the farm to you each week at the LeRay Medical Center at 26908 Independence Way off route 11 in Evans Mills! Local food shares valued at $24 from O&E Farm available for pick-up every Friday. Attend our free weekly workshop for LIVE food demonstrations, tips for healthy eating, and access to weekly local food share ordering and delivery. Workshop attendees who pay with EBT receive half off!

Parenting After Separation or Divorce (August 10th from 10AM to 12PM, August 24th from 6PM to 8PM): Coparenting is hard! This two-hour program is designed to assist parents in helping their children adjust to parental separation or divorce. Topics include identifying parent/child reactions to divorce; developing skills for helping children cope; post-separation parenting; co-parenting versus parallel parenting; communicating effectively between households; and identifying and managing stress for parents and children. This program is now being offered free of charge! To register, call 315-788-8450.

Farmers Market Tour and Cook (August 10th at 1:30PM) Meet in the Flower Memorial Library’s Community Room and join us for an afternoon of shopping at the Wednesday Watertown Farm and Craft Market to learn to make the most of your weekly farmers market trip. After touring the market, head back inside the library to learn how to cook with your produce. This workshop will cover farmers market shopping tips, seasonal recipes using local produce, and creating balanced meals. Call Ashley at Flower Memorial Library for event questions at 315-785-7714.

Recipe Rebuild (August 30th from 2PM to 3PM): Join Colton for a FREE cooking workshop for teens ages 13-18 at Flower Memorial Library. Can you rebuild a popular restaurant breakfast recipe – pancakes? Learn new culinary skills and how to make delicious food! Each workshop features a hands-on cooking activity with free samples.
