Black River man facing numerous sex charges involving child, Watertown police say

WATERTOWN, NY — The Watertown Police Department released the following statement on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021:

“On 11/08/2021, the Watertown Police Department received a sealed indictment warrant for Trevor Harrell, a 35-year-old male who resides at 121 West Street in Black River, NY. The indictment was based on an investigation completed by our Criminal Investigation Division.

It was alleged that Mr. Harrell committed numerous sexual acts on a female victim from September of 2015 through May of 2020. The sexual acts against the victim began when she was 12 years old and ended when she was 17 years old.

At 9:46 pm, on 11/08/2021, Trevor Harrell was arrested on the indictment warrant by the Watertown Police Department at 300 Washington Street in the city. He was charged with three counts of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a class A-II felony, one count of Criminal Sex Act in the first degree, a class B felony, one count of Rape in the first degree, a class B felony, eight counts of Rape in the second degree, a class D felony, one count of Sexual Abuse in the first degree, a class D felony, and eight counts of Rape in the third degree, a class E felony. He was processed and remanded to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
