WATERTOWN, NY — Carolyn “Lindy” Cleary, 75, Watertown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Samaritan Medical Center.
Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be in the spring in Brownville Cemetery at a time and date to be announced.
Carolyn was born April 13, 1943, in Watertown, a daughter of the late Lyle T. and Mildred F. Roe Gilligan.
Her loves included her cats, playing cards, and especially her family.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Cleary; three sons, John A. Cleary, Jr. and wife, Marcie, Watertown, Richard S. Cleary, TN, and William A. Cleary and wife, Felicia, PA; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Deborah Cardinal and husband, Danny, NC, Barbara Cleary and husband, Albert, KY, and Cheryl Vincent and husband, Randy, Watertown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Gilligan, and her sister, Susan Groman.
