Charlotte French Noyes, 74, Carthage

CARTHAGE, NY — Charlotte French Noyes, 74, formerly of West Street, died Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Grand Nursing Home in Rome, NY, where she has resided since November 2017.

Born May 28, 1944, in Yakima, Washingto, the daughter of the late Henry D. and Edna A. Mathison French, she graduated from Watertown High School.

She married Charles Noyes. The marriage ended in divorce.

She was a CNA for Mercy Hospital, she also worked at Gould’s Pumps, and Car Freshener, in Watertown. She was a primarily homemaker after her illness in 1976.

She is survived by several children, Charles (Chuck) & Karen Noyes Jr., Carthage, Quint (Sue) Noyes, Pennsylvania; Tammy Monroe, Carthage and Angel & Kenneth Phillips, Carthage. She is also survived by a brother, Wesley Dean French, Louisiana; and a sister, Caroline Sheppard, Illinois; and 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three sisters, and a brother.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren having tea parties. She was an avid bible reader and loved playing bingo.

Calling Hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage.
