WATERTOWN, NY — Chipotle, located at 1290 Arsenal St., Suite 7, will host a fundraiser for the Volunteer Transportation Center, Inc. this Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Those who bring a copy of the attached flyer, show a copy of it on their smartphone (accessible online at http://bit.ly/VTC-Chipotle-Fundraiser) or who tell a cashier they are there to support the Volunteer Transportation Center will help support the fundraiser. The VTC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, will receive 33% of the proceeds from sales recorded in support of the fundraiser.
“We are very thankful to Chipotle for hosting this fundraiser and hope the community turns out in great support,” said VTC Foundation Director Jeremiah S. Papineau. “The dollars raised for the VTC through this and other fundraising efforts help us to provide transportation services to those who need them in the communities we serve.”
Online orders will not be included in the fundraiser total. Gift card purchases also do not count towards total donated sales but purchases made with an existing gift card will count.
ABOUT THE VTC
The Volunteer Transportation Center, Inc. (VTC), established in 1991, drives millions of miles each year assisting community members in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. Over the last 28 years, this essential non-profit organization has provided rides to health care appointments, grocery shopping, and other destinations for residents.
The VTC has offices in Watertown, New York and Canton, New York. The staff, Board of Directors and volunteer drivers look forward to a time when transportation to community activities and services is accessible to all North Country residents regardless of economic or special needs. But for now the mission drives on — striving to provide essential transportation for North Country residents who have no other transportation alternatives.
