WATERTOWN, NY — Cierra N. Grant, 26, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at home surrounded by family and friends after battling cancer for two years.
Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown, with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jonas Tondayu officiating.
Born March 21, 1992, in Stuttgart, Germany, she was a 2010 graduate of Watertown high school.
After moving to South Carolina shortly after graduation, she became a certified nursing assistant. She truly loved doing this. She brightened her patient’s day whenever she was around them. Her bubbly personality and positive attitude were truly an inspiration.
She enjoyed playing the violin, happy planning, knitting, and being around family and friends.
She is survived by her mother Nicole A. Grant, stepfather Barney Johnson (Daddy Jay-as she called him), her sister Emerald Johnson, her brother Jovan Johnson, her loving boyfriend Eric Clark; her Grandmother, Cathy Grant, Watertown and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
Cierra was predeceased by her grandfather Michael Grant on Oct. 30, 2018.
