Clayton man charged with DWI

CAPE VINCENT, NY — Jason A. Harvey, 38, of 16224 County Route 3, Clayton, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 5:38 a.m. Friday, June 7, at State Route 12E and Cedar Point State Park Dr. in the town of Cape Vincent with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and driving across hazard markings.

His blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

Deputies said they observed Mr. Harvey swerve in the lane of travel, crossed the solid yellow line twice and crossed the fog line three times prior to the traffic stop.

He is summoned to appear in Cape Vincent Town Court at a later date.
